1. Bonfires

I can’t say for certain why, because I think bonfires are amazing anytime of year, but autumnal bonfires take the cake. Maybe it’s because the whole being chilly thing is so new in the wake of summer and being happy to get warmer is novel all over again. Maybe it’s because they smell so damn woodsy and delicious. Definitely, at least in part, we love bonfires because everyone looks sexy when bathed in orange fire glow. Everyone needs to fall in love by a bonfire, at least once, and only if for the night.

2. Sweaters

Summer’s bikinis and tank tops might be the playground of the breast but sweaters are where they rediscover being coy and covered in soft warmth. And it’s not just about making the boobs look good. Although that is nice, for the dudes and the gals. Sweaters just feel good.

3. Being outside

Summer is great for being outside but you always have to think about cooling off: swimming, finding shade, avoiding the hot part of the day. And winter can certainly hold some beautiful nature time but even bundling up to go outside can be such a pain in the ass. Fall is the perfect in between temperature…you can just be out in it and feel great. Plus with the changing leaves’ amazing colors against a frequently blue sky…oh yeah. There’s pretty much nothing better. On the other hand…

4. Staying in

…the bit of bite in the air making staying in and snuggling up sound more inviting than ever. Plus the sweaters, remember? Sweaters and snuggling. And the great part is, the sweet weather and extra sunlight puts everyone in a sublime mood, so it won’t even matter if you’re doing the solo snuggle or getting cozy as a couple.

5. Halloween!

When I was a kid, I thought Halloween was basically the greatest thing ever. Little did I know that being a grown up makes this October holiday even better. Honestly, why don’t we have more days in the year when it’s okay to go out in public dressed as anything you want without judgment and get drunk with your friends? Hmm…okay, that kinda sounds like most Saturday nights with my pals, but maybe that’s just me. The point is, any event where you can pretend to be Spiderman and potentially hook up with Tinkerbell is a-okay with me.
