Two out of every three women have broken up with a boyfriend because he was a bad kisser. And as much as it might scare you to hear it, all women judge how a man will perform in bed by how he kisses. If you kiss poorly, and with a complete unawareness of what she likes and doesn’t like, she will probably write you off.

Everybody kisses differently; every mouth tastes different, every style is different, and every kiss is unique. That’s what makes them so exciting! But even though all of us kiss differently, there are some common things that men should keep in mind if they want to kiss well.

Remain in control.

This is the most important piece of advice for kissing well. Seriously! This doesn’t mean that you need to stay in control of her; rather, that you need to keep control of yourself. If you’re really into woman, it’s easy to want to dive right in, with no thought except how wonderful it is to be kissing her. But, no matter how much you enjoy it, keep a part of your mind active while you kiss her.

Pay attention to how you move and how she reacts to what you do. Keep control of your mouth, and go easy on the French kissing, most women don’t like to be tongue-mined. Take things slowly and don’t let yourself get out of control until you know that she loves what you’re doing.

The When of Kissing

You can be the best kisser on the planet, and still screw things up by going for a kiss at the wrong time. Knowing exactly when that first kiss should come is never going to be easy. The awkwardness of “should I kiss her -- should I not?” is a classic joke for a reason: it’s always going to happen. There are, however, some easy tricks you can use to tell if it’s a good time to kiss her.

Watch her body language.

If a girl is hoping you’ll kiss her, it should show in her body language. She may lean close to you, lick her lips often, or even just look at you very intensely. Don’t see anything that looks like a flashing neon sign? Move very close to her. If she angles her body up towards you and moves in closer, go ahead and take the plunge-- she almost definitely wants you to.

Touch her to see how she reacts.

Another very sexy way to tell if a girl wants you to kiss her is to touch her. If she’s into you, this can be both very sensual, and a good indicator of how close she wants to get. Touch her cheek. Then, if she seems responsive, gently brush her bottom lip with your (clean!) thumb. It makes you seem confident and sensual, and, if she likes it --and you--, you can bet she’ll want you to kiss her.
