On Becoming A Channeler...

Learning to communicate in another dimension

I always wanted to become a Channeler. It was something that just resonated with me and I never knew why. I always thought it was really cool and neat not odd, scary or weird as some people thought of it. I wanted to be a Channeler. I knew that at some point in my life I would become one. Plain and simple. Since I couldn’t channel myself, I looked into who did or who could teach me. I came across one book in particular Opening to Channel by Sanaya Roman which really helped me to realize my dream. I also paid for private sessions with other Channelers, each session and individual Channeler being more fascinating than the other. Over the years, I’ve had private channeling sessions with Bart Smit who channels Dr. Williams, Anne Morse who channels The Transeekers and even attended and became a graduate of The Barbara Brennan School of Healing because Barbara channeled her spirit guide known by the name of Heyoan.

Everything and everyone helped a little, but in the end, I truly believe that it was my longing and desire to become a Channeler that got me there. If one’s desire and intent is strong and vibrant enough, then I believe there is nothing that one cannot do.

The act of Channeling itself can be described as a person having the ability to communicate with Spirit (to me Spirit means non-corporeal entities in another dimension). Channelings themselves have a deep wisdom and an innate ability to penetrate beyond the Ego mind and allow our senses to take over so that we can digest the ‘information’ from the soul directly. This is true wisdom, this is true learning.

I met a woman while attending The Barbara Brennan School of Healing in Florida. It was the end of a school week and she was waiting for a cab to the airport. She noticed that I was waiting for one as well and asked if I wanted to split the cab fare with her. I readily agreed and we got to know each other in the cab along the way. She was ahead of me by a year at the school and she suddenly stopped, looked at me and said ‘Do you channel?’ Naturally, I was surprised and taken aback by such an odd and direct question but I sheepishly replied ‘Ummmm, no but I’ve always wanted to...’ She laughed out loud and smiled her wonderful smile and said ‘No problem, I AM a Channeler and I’ll teach you!’

Needless to say, I think I personally flew the plane home that day I was flying so high!

Once I had sufficiently learned and mastered all of the teachings that my friend the channeler had given me, I finally decided to allocate 1 hour every day to practice the art of channeling itself. At first, I had no clue as to what I was doing and what to expect. The biggest obstacle I faced was myself. I had convinced myself that I just could not do it, even though deep down inside I knew I could. I shot myself down anytime there was any little bit of progress telling myself that ‘it’s just my imagination’ and it doesn’t mean anything anyway. Actually, it did, it meant a lot. Everyday when I sat down in the same chair at the same time every day, I started to notice ‘little things’ that I eventually could no longer dismiss as being superficial, silly or irrelevant. I began to notice that when I was uncomfortable in my chair, I had to spend several minutes shifting in my chair ever so slightly until I got just the right spot and comfort level. I realized that I needed some fresh air coming into the room. A window only slightly ajar was sufficient; anything else was too distracting for me. I had to wear comfortable clothing, usually cotton that allowed my body to breathe and definitely no pantyhose or anything nylon. I had to remove my shoes. I had to have a clear space in front of me, no clutter around me and overall a relatively sparse and empty room. I had to kick out the cat and the dog from the room while I practiced my channeling and if God forbid there was a fly in the room? Forget it, I had to stop this whole process, get rid of the fly and start all over again. Needless to say, it took quite a bit of persistence and perseverance on my part to get the results I wanted. There were many times when I would wake up first thing in the morning and tell myself to forget it and do ‘something useful’ with my time. It took me over 6 months of diligent practicing every day for a little over an hour without fail, until one day it suddenly felt different. Something was definitely different from all the other times but this time there was a definite ‘presence’ in the room that I could not ignore. My heart was racing. I was frightened and excited at the same time. I felt true and utter joy. This presence was coming closer and closer, it felt like a huge white and pure energy slowly approaching me from in front and above. I know this might sound corny, but it was ecstasy. It was the best sensation that I had ever felt in my life. This was it and I KNEW it! It was a beautiful channel filled with love, praise and support for all of the effort that I had put into it. The Guides explained how it had taken this long due to the energies (my energy field and the energy field of the Guides) needing time to adjust and meld together in order to make a ‘connection’. It was a day that I will never forget.

I continued to practice channeling on my own

Each time more fluidly and effortlessly without the clumsy first attempts of the past. I gradually became comfortable giving ‘readings’ to others and I channeled over 100 sessions in a little over 2 years. I was always amazed at the depth of emotion I felt for the person I was giving the channeling for and the higher perspective that always came out of the teachings themselves. It made me look at life in a much simpler but profound way. The following is an example of one channeling that I gave in a private session with my spirit guide named ‘Mafu’. Its teachings and messages are universal. As I read this particular channeling now, I am only sorry that I did not record more of them.

Greetings Dearest One
Blessings are upon you

Allowing space for harmonizing of energies…..
For indeed a great deal of chaos surrounds you
Chaos not in circumstances, but chaos of the mind

For when you allow yourself to lose focus
To lose sharpness of clarity, chaos ensues
Therefore be seated deeply within your Soul and ask yourself simply What is it that I feel within me? What is it that I want to create?

For as you harmonize the energies around you
You will create all that you desire
If there is hesitation and doubt in your heart
Difficulties will arise in order for you to come to a better place of understanding and balance about it

Therefore do not deny any longings that arise within your Soul,
Within your heart’s desire
Be it different, so called different, unique or strange that you may feel from someone else’s desires
You judge yourself harshly Dearest One
You demand perfection from yourself although you know deep within your heart
That perfection is not required
Indeed a demand of perfection only causes chaos within your heart and in your mind

What is it Dearest One that you wish to do so perfectly?
Why do you not simply allow yourself to receive
And feel all that you can feel?
Indeed allow the fear to surface and acknowledge it
Acknowledge the pain of your temporary inability to process information within you
For this awareness alone
Will help you to begin to process
Whatever is required from You

Allow all experiences to be embodied and decide for yourself in the moment - not project it into the future as to what it may or should feel like

But simply allow yourself in the moment
And have the courage to speak, speak your truth in the moment
And change the direction, should you so wish to do so
Should it not be something you decide is what you want

For in this way you allow yourself to experience
And give yourself an opportunity to experience something that perhaps you would not have given yourself the opportunity to do so

Therefore do not project into the future what you feel you are able to handle or not
For in this way you deny your Divinity
You question your ability in all of your capacity of being a deep spiritual being

Surrender to the process, allow yourself to feel deeply within your heart all that you desire

Have courage to experience all things new
Have courage with wonderment and joy and expectation of joy of all these new experiences
What all these grand creations can and will entail for you

You hide your light Dearest One
And we say to you now
What is the purpose and indeed why inflict such pain on yourself by hiding your light?
It is for all to see and all to experience the wonderment and joy of embodying your Divinity

For this is truly a divine heart and a healthy ego when it is expressed through Divinity
You will find no barriers here
You will find no chaos
Simply surrender to the Christ consciousness that you hold

Trust that it will lead you to all the places you long to travel to
Trust that it will give you all that you long to experience
And so much more
For your capacity to understand how great you are is so small
For when we look down upon you
We see the greatness of who you are
We experience the greatness of your Divinity
When you connect to source
When you allow yourself the embodiment of Divinity
And it is truly enraptured in love and light

Therefore our message to you Dearest Ones
Although we would say to you do not hesitate to express your light
But also allow yourself courage and not deny yourself experiences that can be of great value and growth opportunity for you

Therefore trust and wait in the moment to decide
Feel deeply within your heart and decide at that moment if that is what you long to do at that moment in time
Does it feel appropriate to you?
Is this what you long to do?
Is this what you want to experience?

And allow your soul to respond
For each opportunity - each transaction
Will be different
Do not demand of yourself to set forth rules and regulations
As to how your Divinity will operate
Simply allow experience and then decide
Projection into the future is futile

Sit with us now Dearest Ones and envision your Christ light surfacing deep within you expanding out and connecting to all that is
For this is truly your energy source
The one energy source that sustains you in all of your day to day activities
