I got to #8 and had to stop, register, and comment on account of how incredibly irresponsible this article is. You think the best remedy for someone who is starved of oxygen and can't breathe is a fucking herb? How about CPR? Heimlich maneuver? Some idiot's gonna read this and think "Carbo Veg" is the best remedy for asphyxiation. Revise this shit before someone gets hurt.

Hi Jasontimmer, I certainly don't mean for this article to be read and the remedies to be used INSTEAD of CPR or any other emergency intervention if called for. The point is, these remedies can help 'aid' in recovery along with traditional medicine. It's written with the understanding that everyone should use common sense first. Having said that, I appreciate your concern and will revise the article.

A great homeopathic remedy for sunburn is called Urtica urens. It's for those really intense burns, with an itchy, crawling and stinging kind of feeling. Aloe vera in homeopathic form can also be useful and is less messy than the plant form.

I hate to be causing trouble again, but really it's the messy gel in the aloe that soothes the burn. I've never understood the homeopathic "less is more" ideology. I'm an RN so maybe I'm biased in the way of modern medical understanding of disease and injury.

Not causing trouble at all...a homeopathic preparation although diluted is more potent. It's based on the law of similars and acts as an energetic 'match' to a specific symptom. The aloe vera gel would be used on the basis of the law of opposites. Place something cool to something that burns (hot). It will help to alleviate symptoms but only for a little while. Law of similars acts to cure. It's very different to what modern medical understanding is but extremely effective just the same.
