There are plenty of foreign beaches to visit like Belize, St. Tropez, Copacabana… and the like, but let’s face it, most of us don’t have the luxury of traveling to some far off destination where they speak a foreign language and eat exotic foods, just to enjoy some summer sun.

So I thought I would group together a handful or more of local beaches within Canada and the United States to give you an idea of what our local beaches have to offer and perhaps entice you to visit one of them and see for yourself how sexy they really are!

Atlantic City Beach

Atlantic City, NJ

Free, clean and wide beaches with outdoor public showers, and a boardwalk stretching over 4 miles long! It's a favorite destination stop for many returning visitors, so it's always a busy place.

Cavendish Beach

Prince Edward Island

Cavendish Beach and the dune shores of PEI. This place is absolutely breathtaking and hands down one of the busiest and most popular beaches this Province has to offer. It has creamy white sand and warm waters and you can spend hours digging for clams.

Fire Island

New York, NY

This is definitely one of the busier beach areas out there and more geared towards a casual atmosphere for relaxing and exploring. It's 31-mile-long Fire Island, along Long Island's south coast, with pristine sand dune beaches, great nightlife and amazing scenery.

Kitsilano Beach

Vancouver, BC

One of the more popular beaches Vancouver has to offer. It's a happening beach geared for a younger crowd from teens to thirties. It's also home to the longest outdoor salt-water pool.

Lincoln City

Oregon

Where the Pacific Ocean greets the beach along seven gorgeous miles in Lincoln City. A great summer resort town with awesome seafood and fifteen free public beaches to indulge in.

Main Beach

East Hampton, NY

A little pricier to stay here but well worth it with sand dunes, surf, lifeguards during summer (really attractive ones!), and terrific Fourth of July fireworks.

Malibu Beach

Los Angeles, CA

World renowned for its long, wide, white beaches of over twenty-seven miles! A highly social place, so be prepared to meet and chat with lots of people. Famous for celebrity sightings too, if that's your thing.

South Beach

Miami, FL

Also world renowned for its miles of beach stretching as far as the eye can see. Tons of energy with Latin music, crazy nightlife, strong drinks and clubs that stay open until they basically kick you out! It's also famous for celebrity sightings and very beautiful people.
