Some information about Beidaihe, Hebei

Once a fishing village it has become a popular vacation destination and seaside resort with its long Mediterranean-style beaches and refreshing pine forests. It offers excellent seafood and draws large crowds from July through to September. The main attraction of course is the beach, but you can also walk up to Lianfeng Hill Park which offers quiet paths through pine forests that lead you eventually to Guanyin Temple. Here you can sit and relax in a quiet and cool place in the woods and take in the seaside view. A wide assortment of fresh seafood awaits to suit the tourist palate by simply choosing one of the many local fish on display waiting to be served up.
