Some information about Changchun, Jilin

The provincial capital of Jilin has an odd name. Changchun literally means 'Long Spring', which they do not, due to being located in China's Northeast country. It is home to First Auto Works (FAW), China's first automobile manufacturer. The city streets have wide avenues which make for pleasant strolls while viewing the abundant greenery. Attractions include The Puppet Emperor's Palace, a museum belonging to Puyi, China's last emperor, the Banruo Monastery, The Changchun Film Studio and the main attraction, Changbaishan Nature Reserve, a huge forest with a lake in the crater of a now extinct volcano. The city also offers tourists abundant shopping with open markets, live music at clubs and local sporting events.
