Some information about Lodz

One need only stroll up and down Piotrkowska Street, lined with restaurants, stores, antique shops, cinemas, art galleries and museums to sense the vitality of this industrial city. Art Nouveau architecture abounds in refurbished residential buildings and 19th century industrial architecture is evident. The Museum of Modern Art is one of the best in the world, and a leisurely day can be spent at the Botanical Gardens with displays of over 3,500 varietals, an alpine garden, an herb and medicinal garden, and a Japanese Garden.
