London, Ontario is known as the Forest City and The City of Summer Festivals due to its many and diverse festivals going on throughout the summer months including the famous Stratford Festival, Huron Country Playhouse and the Port Stanley Summer Theatre. It has a population of 353,069. Due to it’s rich historic settlements, many of London's historically significant buildings and museums will be open to the public for free throughout the Doors Open Weekend held every year one weekend at the end of September wherein one can explore over 50 sites not normally open to the public.
