Some information about Verona

Verona is located 71 miles west of Venice and 312 miles northwest of Rome and is one of the most romantic and beautiful of all northern Italian cities. Known as the home of the eternal lovers and the most famous tragic star crossed lovers in history, Romeo and Juliet. It lies alongside the Adige River. Popular attractions include Palazzo del Governo, where Cangrande extended the shelter of his hearth and home to Dante Alighieri. The Arche Scaligere are outdoor tombs with decorative wrought iron. The piazza delle Erbe was formerly a Roman forum but is now the setting of the fruit and vegetable market.
