Some information about Budapest

Often referred to as the Pearl of the Danube, Budapest is rich in history and culture. Its banks of the Danube River were declared a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1987. Similar honours have been bestowed on the Buda Castle, the historical palace of Hungarian monarchy, Andrássy Avenue, for its architecture, and the Millennium Underground, the second oldest underground metro system in the world. Add seven hundred years old Matthias Church, Europe’s largest synagogue, Dohány Street synagogue to your sightseeing and top it off with a refreshing visit to the Széchenyi Medicinal Baths.
