Cpearl, OMG I laughed out loud when I read your post. I had a couple of dates that went like that, and learned to ask exactly those questions. I even went so far as to take a pair of running shoes just in case I had to make a fast getaway!

blind dates to me are the most unsettling feeling one could have, online you can say anything without showing emotion, in person for the first time, there is a lot of emotion in the air, you could be excited or nervous, or a little distant for the first part of your date, personally i don't like blind dates, ive been on a few and most of the time im looking for the exit sign, ive lost a little bit of weight running from people in the past few months.
and i wouldn't suggest showing up with flowers either, she doesn't want to carry that all night, and i sure don't.
