Katarina_HD![]() | I'm thinking of trading in my SUV. I don't need all the cargo space any longer and I'm concerned about rising gas prices. I've researched it on the internet and most experts say to hold onto it as 1) it has probably substantially depreciated in value and 2) wait until gas prices stabilize. Any thoughts? |
Chloe![]() | I say get something smaller. As regards depreciation, your current vehicle will never appreciate in value, so you may as well get as much for it as you can now. And though oil prices may stabilize, the days of cheap gas are over. Good luck in your search! |
CapnCrunch![]() | I agree with Chloe unless your in the middle of a lease. Leasing is dying, why because auto manufacturers are loosing billions. If you are currently in a lease it probably doesn't make any sense to get rid of your SUV. Keep until the end and let the manufacturer deal with the discrepancy in the value as there will be one! |
Katarina_HD![]() | Thanks Chloe and CapnCrunch, I am in a lease so it probably won't be feasible to trade in right how. However, I will be dropping in to the car dealer to see what options I actually do have available. |
