I would love to find a really cool girl who just likes to hang out and spend time together enjoying each others company and let any relationship develop naturally to where it takes us. If that ends up just friends that's cool. If it develops naturally into something more that's cool too. I don't want to lay any expectations out there, but I do miss female companionship at all levels so whatever you are comfortable with, so am I. I want to build a relationship that perhaps is different than most out there. I do hope to find someone that I can eventually call my soul mate with whom I can spend the rest of my life, but I don't want to force it. I believe the only way to find a sustainable long-term relationship is to build it on a foundation of friendship and mutual respect. I want to build a friendship and let the "romance" part build on top of that naturally if that is where it goes. If it's right, it will go there. If it isn't then just being friends is awesome too!
I firmly believe that each person should be able to be who they are and if you want to be with that person, then you should love them for who they are and not what you want them to be. I also tend to lean toward more an Eastern point of view toward life. I'm not Buddhist but I tend to agree with much of the way they think of life. I look at life as a process and its all about the journey. I don't focus too much on the future and certainly not on the past. I'm all about living the moment and making the best of it. The past is about learning how to live in the present. It's all experience and none of it is worth being angry or resentful about. Every moment of life is a piece of information that can be used to make the current moment better.
I'm a single dad with joint custody of a 4 (almost 5) year old daughter I spend a lot of time with. She's definitely Daddy's little girl. :)
I'm a pretty easy going, laid back guy with a good sense of humor. I don't have a jealous or callous bone in my body. I'm very even tempered, extremely non-judgmental and take life as it comes to me. Life is a process to enjoy and learn from to make the next moment better. There is no reason to spend any time being resentful, angry, jealous, regretful, judgmental, etc. Just a waste of opportunity to spend time doing something fun and enjoyable.
I spend a lot of my time doing triathlons as a sport. Actually it is more a lifestyle than just a sport. I just completed my first Ironman in November 2008 - Ironman Arizona! Crossing that finish line was a huge high! It was a culmination of 8 months of training. It was a BIG commitment as it required training nearly every day (average 2 hours and longer on weekends). It is a big challenge balancing this with work and fatherhood but I'm working it out. Gonna do another Ironman in 2010! During the winter I like to snowboard. I was a skier for many years but I switched to snowboarding a few years ago and won't go back. Hopefully this next season we see good snow! My other passion is poker. But with the demands of fatherhood and triathlon I reserve play to Sunday night tournament at Viejas and the occasional home game. I hardly play online anymore. In addition to triathlons, snowboarding and playing poker, I like movies, getting out for a fun night on the town, etc.
Is in a similar place as me and/or share interests. I prefer athletic women especially if you are active like me. I also have a preference for younger women say 42 and under. We can go out on the town, dinner, movie maybe downtown. Or we can just have dinner at my house, I'll cook, drink some wine, watch a movie, have some good conversation. My normal schedule usually requires working out for 2-3 hours after work most days I don't have my daughter. But during the offseason (winter-ish) I can relax a little. If nothing is going on I will train but if one of you awesome girls out there want to do something, let's go! Weekends I do train as well but I have more free time or maybe we can train together? And I can always get a babysitter. :)
Movies Kind Of Fall Into The Same Category As Books Although I Do Like To Watch Good Dramas As Well It All Depends On My Mood And Who Is Joining Me Like Any Red Blooded American Male I Like Action Flicks And Good Murder Mysteries But I Also Appreciate Well Made Comedies Just Not The Banal Ones So I Am A Really Big Fan Of Coen Brothers Movies Although I Have Been Developing A Taste For Judd Apatow Comedies Such As Superbad
