The ironing. I ironed my stomach once. But it was the cat’s fault. My writing or my garden - perhaps I’m too busy socialising, or being with my children, or working. I'm a school Librarian, and building the confidence of the students who are struggling is a central part of my role at work, and what makes the job important to me.
A shoulder to cry on or a listening ear. I’m good at making them see the funny side of difficult situations or helping them work out their own solution when things go pear-shaped.
Sitting around a fire at night with friends, listening to a guitar and singing. Creating beautiful places in my garden; walking on a beach even if it’s in the rain; music of all kinds; my writing; visiting Art galleries - they make me THINK ; being a pagan/wiccan; loving the natural world; having someone to share all of the above and more with.
Intolerance - we're all part of the human race, every one unique and extraordinary. Our consumerism-obsessed society; it makes us into haves and have-nots. Life would be so much easier for us if we could be happy with what we have. Relationships that become power struggles. Love is not about who's in charge.
Is secure with who they are; strong enough to see that supporting each other is not an indication that either of us is weak. Rejoices in sensuality, and realises that it's a celebration of our humanity that brings joy when it's shared with the One. Is open to endless possibilities.
