I'm an energetic and snarky optimist thriving in grad school down here in San Diego. I love learning (I read a TON), going for walks, touring museums and wineries, spending time with family and friends, singing at the top of my lungs, pretending I can play drums or guitar, and getting into philosophical discussions on anything and everything, especially if it's by accident. I work as an SAT teacher, and am getting into sportscasting a little bit via internships and such. I LOVE baseball, all kinds of football, and am quickly being taken in by basketball and playoff hockey. I quote movies and songs, laugh at random stuff (especially if it makes me think of a Monty Python sketch), and am generally a complete geek.

Strong enough for myself and my whole network of friends and family, and particularly for my lover. I push myself too hard sometimes, and have trouble forgiving myself, but I make a definite effort to forgive everyone else--unless you've got a long track record of hurting me and those close to me. I'm always trying to make myself better as a person, and appreciate those who support me in that effort. I'm also trying to be a better listener and communicator nowadays.

I never have trouble finding time for what's important to me. Except maybe travel, but that's an issue of cash, too.

Amusement. I love making other people laugh, whether with an odd facial expression, as the butt of the joke, or with a funny life experience. Others look to me for wisdom--somehow, my advice and listening ear work about 30 times better in lives that aren't mine, and backfire all too often in mine.

LEARNING!! Baseball, football, writing, music in all its forms, spending time with my friends and family, skiing, reading, teaching, taking classes, philosophical discussions, concerts, plays, GOOD food, GOOD wine, road trips, traveling, new places, new faces, comedy, funny stories, laughing till I cry, staring at the sky, a little time alone, being with my family, movies, a few video games.. and much much more that I can't come up with right now.

..Huh. I can't think of anything right off the bat for this one.

I'm looking for someone with a different perspective on the world who has much to teach me, and shares my joy for discovering new hobbies all over OC. Someone independent with patience for a guy with a wandering mind and more curiosity than can be healthy.
